Well, I've moved, and I'm over 21,000 feet from the CO and the cable company is crap. So, I have IDSL, and it took 2 1/2 months to get that. It sure beats the hell out of dialup, however. Browsing is just fine, and [hopefully] my game pings will be nice and low when they switch me to the Denver point of presence Tuesday night. I'm using Speakeasy/Covad, by the way.

Who is your cable provider? I bet your speed will be much better with cable than your IDSL.

Cable provider? It's actually just a trailer with a bunch of satellite dishes that pumps about 50 channels to base housing (Peterson Air Force Base). The base hasn't yet gone with Adelphia, which has a contract with @Home here. I had @Home when I lived off-base, and sometimes reached 700K/sec downloads. I also had RADSL with Qwest; I got nice game pings with that. Trust me, IDSL is my only option here (too far from CO, not Adelphia cable, too many trees for line-of-sight for Sprint Broadband).
