Hello everyone.

i have a little bit of a dilema here with my network connections.

#1.. i have High Speed Cable with Adelphia "Cable Modem"
#2.. i have service with vonage so i have "Motorola VT 2442" issued to me by them.

#3.. i already have a working computer on the network.. which it's configuration is this.

From the cable jack to the Cable modem, From there Ethernet Cord to the Motorola VT 2442 connected to a blue plug which says internet just like it's supose to. From the back of the Motorola VT 2442 there 4 diffrent ethernet ports to connect up to 4 PC.. Ethernet Cord From port 1 to My Computer the one i am on now. and that works fine!.

Howvere i have a 2nd computer. so i have a network Cable Cat 5. from the back of the Motorola VT 2442 from port 2! to my 2nd computer.. however, No internet connection what so ever. i have already called vonage everything is set up the way it's supose to be i have tested all the ports on the back of the VT 2442 and that is NOT the probelm..

Vonage tech support told me it's something to do with my 2nd computer configuration. i believe there right however how can i change that configuration so that i get internet thru my network cable.

if this helps i had DSL and on my 2nd computer i was never connected thru a Network cable.. i was connected thru a USB hub. also if this helps. when i go to my 2nd computer and i go to.

start > control panel > network and internet connections > network connections = all there is there is a connection that says

1394 Connection 2 and it says connected at 400.0mbps even though it is NOT connected!.
Packets sent : 0 || packets Received : 0

could anyone know what the reason might be, or can help me out on this probelm. i would greatly apprecaite it guys.
