Router suggestion

I would appreciate any suggestions as to which router to purchase to replace my old Netgear RP114 router which died peacefully the other night.I only need four ports ,firewall and one which can keep up with my cable modem.Thanks

If you just have some basic needs.....the popular Linksys BEFSR41 will do the job fine, or some of the DLink models like the 604. Stay away from a separate Linksys label known under the "Network Everywhere" name.

I was a big fan of Netgear years ago....but since they split with Bay Networks...the past couple of years..I've quite disappointed in their products and stay away from them now.

I didn't like Belkin as a router brand years ago, but lately they've gotten pretty decent.
