Hello, I am wondering what kind of cable do I need to connect 2 computers with a wired router. My computer is 333mbps, does this effect what cord I need? I saw on the back of a Cat6 different speeds with different wire categories but somone else is telling me it doesnt matter whether it is Cat5 or Cat6.

Any help is appreciated. Thank You.

all you need is RJ45 crossed network cable..

He's connecting 2x PCs using a router....he'll want standard straight cables, not crossover.

CAT5, CAT5e, CAT6...if you're using 10/100 NICs..the only difference you'll see is the price.
