Ok, my father has @home cable through Comcast. His subnet is for the city of Independence which is the city next to where he lives. Does this mean that he shares bandwidth with all the people with cable in that city??
His dslreports speedtest indicate that his connection is about 6 times faster than 56k. I live halfway across the state, have AT&T @home and get around 50 times faster.
I have looked at the speed tests for other people in his zip code on dslreports and some are around what I get! Why would his be so much slower than the others in his zip code area??
