From the readme:

The MS-DOS 6.22 Step-Up updates your system from MS-DOS 6, 6.2
or 6.21 to MS-DOS 6.22.

IMPORTANT: To use the MS-DOS 6.22 Step-Up, you must be running the
released version of MS-DOS 6, MS-DOS 6.2 or MS-DOS 6.21.
If you are running an older version of MS-DOS, a beta
version of MS-DOS, or any version of MS-DOS that was
modified by a hardware vendor, you cannot use the MS-DOS 6.22
Step-Up. To install MS-DOS 6.22 on such a system, obtain the
full MS-DOS 6.22 Upgrade product.

yup, you won't find it for free.

I have it on 3 floppys but just found disk 2 has bad sectors. They've been stored a long long time. I picked 'em up at a Salvation Army store, lost my originals ages ago.

I should have the DOS disks backed up to a cd, just that I have to search thru an awful lot of disc holders. I'd been using a couple other DOS sys that Norm pointed me to a few years ago.

I dunno if Norm will have it either, I asked him about this once a long time ago. He does have a lot of other DOS tools and some nice gui for dos though.

I'll pm ya if I can find the backup.

edit: come to think it, maybe I'm mistaken- maybe all I asked Norm about was the Norton Commander...was a few years ago. For sure though, you won't find DOS for free on the net.

I dunno.

I'd seen it for sale a few years ago, don't know about now for sure.

Still looking for it...I'm sure I have it.
