I mean CLEARLY it ain't easy. 70+ thousand views on that one "nat error" alone posted by gameboy?? That's crazy.

Surely they should want to better their services for potential users right?? So why not take peoples problems on board and try and make it more friendly, all this port mess, open and close, icp, tcp, a lot of us don't even know what this means in English...

I mean don't the Einsteins of these companies do their own google searches and look at feedback and see the problems people are coming across?? pros and cons and all that other mess. And then try to better the service?

Nooooo. I bet that port 6881 or whatever it is has been a problem for people since day 1.

Sheesh.. all we wanna do is download, and then we gotta go mess with configurations, port numbers, ip address, opening and closing stuff, disabling firewalls, etc. We have no idea as to what we're doing!

-----As I said - ALL WE WANNA DO IS DOWNLOAD!

Why's it gotta be so hard mann???

Several reasons...
1) most home market broadband routers don't have the horsepower to deal with all the concurrent connections of this P2P software.
2) more and more ISPs are blocking well known P2P application ports
3) Being more "open and supported" won't catch on too well, as the majority of use for these is to download pirated stuff.

I wouldnt say that I'm brand new to Azureus, but its totally been frustrating me lately with its nat errors and slow speeds. I thought that i knew a good amount until I came onto this site to see how to get faster speeds, and I realize now that I know nothing. Is there anyone out there willing to help me set mine up? Looking at these threads I have come to the realization that I'll never be able to do it myself. If someone could help me I would be very appreciative.

Let's start at the beginning....how do you connect to the internet?
