Hi, I got referred to this site by someone who said you guys are "FRIGGIN GENIUSES"
So, I'm in desperate need of your help. I truly truly appreciate anything that you can do. So this is my plight.
So, my sound was working until i recently downloaded the new patch to WoW.
Yes... i'm a dork.
Running Windows XP SP2
But i digress. Now my sound is nonexistent. I thought that something might be muted, which is often the case, so I opened up my Sound controls, its not muted, BUT... the advanced tab, which i used to be able to choose to adjust the volume on multiple levels is no longer available.
The volume tab shows... SB LIVE Audio 1440. and the advanced tab is ghosted.
On the audio tab the volume tabs are available, but when i click it i get this
Windows cannot execute SndVol32.exe, use add/remove programs control panel to install.
any thoughts on what happened? I'm at a total loss. Thanks in advance guys.
I've been dabbling on this for at least 2 hours now... downloading drivers, patches... nothing seems to work.
I'm going to take a break and get some dinner. I appreciate your help guys/gals!
btw. I do not have my windows XP CD. Its not in my normal CD binder which means its out in no-man's land.
THanks everyone in advance!
