I'm looking to get a new Cable Modem. I have a Toshiba PCX1100 right now. My cable company supplied me with this one. I have a uncapped cable line. Can someone give me a brand/modem that has fast upstreams? I get about 60KB/s right now. I was looking at the 3Com OfficeConnect, anyone have this one or know how it preforms?
It's doubtful that a different brand/model modem is going to help you achieve greater perfromance. Have you tried the apporpriate registry patch (http://www.speedguide.net/Cable_modems/cable_patches.shtml)?

My modem can handle 1.5 MBps (~185KB/s) downstream and 512kbps (64KB/s)... Other modems can handle more than mine, example... the OfficeConnect modem 'says' it has 30Mbps downstream and 10Mbps upstream. Just looking for people that have experience with that modem or one similar.

Hmm, I have the PCX1100 and it's max upload IS NOT 60Kbytes and its max download IS NOT 185. I download at 250Kbytes+ and I am capped at 384 Upload. A friend of mines has the same exact modem and he can upload at 100Kbytes+, so apparently you are capped.
