Have a wireless connection with a desktop that always ran at full speed until I had to do a complete reinstall of xp. I have checked for all updates for wireless netgear card used and have all the same settings as far as I know. The connection seems to be fine showing "excellent connection" and full 54meg but internet speed is 1/3 of what I had before. Different laptop on the same wireless router is fine so I know router is not the problem. It must be some windows setting but I checked all the normal stuff (win setting etc. ) and everything is reported as fine. I need help because I must be missing something obvious. Thanks.
