Hello everyone! Glad to be apart of the speedguide forums.
Currently i have a DOCSIS 1.1 compliant Linksys BEFCMU10v2, a NetworkEverywhere NR041, a netgear wgr101, and a packet8 (VoIP) Phone Adapter.
I'm trying to find a device such as a Wireless Cable Gateway that can take the place of all 4 devices or at the very least the first 3. I'm fairly new to wireless networking, thats why i have a router just for that ; ).
I'd like to have WPA-TSK AES or TKIP is fine. I've gotta have wireless G at least and DOCSIS 2.0 (or something noncompliant thats faster, I have Comcast if that makes a diffrence on compliance standards)

So thats the long and short of it. Hopefully someone here has some experiance with these devices and can let me know if they perform worse/same/better than 4 independent devices. I'm expecting to pay anywhere from $80-$210 for such a device.

Hope to hear from you guys!

Welcome to SG :)

I am not sure if you'll find a device to combine all 4 functions :) ... I'd do a cable modem, and then a decent VoIP wireless router, since most of them have QoS support, etc.

The other option is going with something like the Motorola SBG900 (http://www.speedguide.net/broadband_view.php?hw=19) (although you'll still need a VoIP adapter I suppose).

You might want to check some of the other devices in the Hardware Database (http://www.speedguide.net/broadband.php) as well, even though it's far from complete still.

thanks for the reply, I had looked at the SB900 and also the WCG200 Linksys but the WCG200 is 2 years old. and the SB900 has been discontinued from what i've heard. I'll look through those links and see if i can't find any more info. Thanks for the reply again
