i JUST got @home (because im too far to get DSL), anyway for some reason my modem stops responding like at least twice a day. ill be downloading a file and it JUST stops. then ill restart and it works fine again. anyone have any suggestions?

Are you losing block sync when this happens?
If not, next time it happens try pinging your gateway, and post your results.

no im not loosing the cable sync connection. and when it does happen i CANT ping anything external (gateway, friends ip, or even yahoo.com). heres what it says when i ping my gateway when its working:

when i loose the connection again ill post the results from the same ping. thanks for your help!
