Welcome to Speed Guide mrrisotto...

Are you losing block sync when this happens?
If not, next time it happens try pinging your gateway, and post your results.

no im not loosing the cable sync connection. and when it does happen i CANT ping anything external (gateway, friends ip, or even yahoo.com). heres what it says when i ping my gateway when its working:

Pinging 65.5.66.1 with 32 bytes of data:

Reply from 65.5.66.1: bytes=32 time=10ms TTL=255
Reply from 65.5.66.1: bytes=32 time=10ms TTL=255
Reply from 65.5.66.1: bytes=32 time<10ms TTL=255
Reply from 65.5.66.1: bytes=32 time=10ms TTL=255

Ping statistics for 65.5.66.1:
Packets: Sent = 4, Received = 4, Lost = 0 (0% loss),
Approximate round trip times in milli-seconds:
Minimum = 0ms, Maximum = 10ms, Average = 7ms

when i loose the connection again ill post the results from the same ping. thanks for your help!
