Connection speed good, d/l horrible

For some reason my internet connection is finally decent again, right around 900 kb/s. Which isn't that special considering I was around 1250 for a long time. I can't figure out what happened. Anyway, for some reason, as high as my connection is, my d/l's are horrible. This is from good servers like Microsoft and others and the fastest I can seem to get is right around 60 kb/s. My torrents won't go above 35 kb/s. Any suggestions? Thanks a lot

are you cable ,or dsl ? Do you own a router? If on dsl what dslmodem you have?

Sorry I forgot to put all that in the last post. I have a 1meg cable connection through Cebridge Connections. I'm using a Arris modem that is hooked directly up through ethernet. Any other info needed?

with the torrents not sure each client is different also some torrents are better then others they have been a few posts about this on this site.

Also with torrents you could only recive as fast as the server sending to ya so if there is only one source for that file it may take longer ,however do a search on this site i'm sure you might be able to pick up some tips.

Its alright, hopefully it'll straighten itself out. I could understand if it was just P2P or torrents, but its also my d/l's from a respectable server like Microsoft.....oh well. Thanks anyway.
