Hello all,
Since last week that I've been having this problem: every time I logon to novaworld using the game Joint operations, my router "crashes" and I lose internet connection ( or part of it ) in all computers.
The game still connects to the online game servers and I can join and play for a while, but eventually, game loses connection.

Here is the detailed situation:

Internet connection:
Cable connection - 8Mbps down / 512Kbps up
Cable connects to modem ( Motorola SB5100 )
Modem connects to router
Router connects to 2 PCs and 1 Laptop

The problem:
Router crashes
Effect: Browsers stop working, either IE or Firefox. Windows already opened may still work, slowly tho. New windows don't load ; game, eventually gets a "Connection interrupted". Other aplications like Teamspeak, take some time to disconnect but eventually it does disconnect.

The trigger
The problem happens when I click the "Novaworld" botton, in the game's main menu. So, it happens when it "talks" to novaworld. No other aplication causes this.

What have I tried and did no change at all:
. Re-install game;
. Launch the game from the other computer;
. Buy a new router;
. Reset modem to default factory settings;

What else have I done:
. I've connected the cable modem directly to my computer and had no problems at all.

Take this under consideration
. I play joint Ops since it came out and never had problems;
. I have the old router for more than 1 year and I have now a new one;
. I have this cable modem for 9 or 10 mounths;
. No other aplication causes this problem;
. The problem happens to all machines on the network.
. This started to happen a few days ago only. There was no chages on this machine or neither on the other machines or even in the network configuration;

Please, if you have any idea of what can be causing this problem, let me know. Thank you in advance.

What make/model router?
Latest firmware on the router?
Anything else running in the background on any PCs on your network? Such as P2P apps?
Any custom settings done to the router, like port fowarding?

PC is not sharing connection. Look at this picture. This is how the all thing is connected.

I don't know what BitSpirit is :)

The problem started when i was using Conceptronics - C100BRS4 - with latest firmware. (boot - V2.00 / aplication - V3.32B )
Then I bought the new one - SMC Barricade - SMCWBR14T-G. Didn't install any firmware. Problem remained.

No P2P aplications when the problem happens.

Any custom settings done to the router, like port fowarding?
Yes. But, I have reset both modems to factory values. And, before that, the port forwarding was there for mounths and never caused this problem.

Anyways, Ive got new developments:

I install the old router back. Restarted the modem and voilá. Everything got back to normal has it was before. Game don't crash router anymore ...:confused:

So, now I have no problems using the router that I was using whem the problem started. :confused:

I've decided to install back the new SMC router just to see what happens. And the problem came back. Every time I started the Game Joint Ops, the router crashed. :irate:

I've notice that, If I use the old router, my IP is 217.129.xxx.xxx and if I use the new one, it changes to 84.90.xxx.xxx. Whatever that means.

Got back to the old router again and it still works. No problems so far, like it was before all these mess.

I figer that the problem is between the routers and my ISP. The rounters can't be. The old one is now working fine. The new one still causes the problem but, it's new. So, modem works ... That leaves me the ISP ... hmmm...

What do you think ?!
