Hi, i am planning to buy a new computer which would be placed far away from my wired network (and DSL modem). I am wondering if the products i chose to purchase will work okay with the setup/landscape which i want to deploy such a wireless network.

DSL Modem---> 5 Port Switch ---> Wireless AP ---> USB Adapter

There are 2 other comps connected to the switch with a wire (i don't like routers, pain in butt) one is a XP comp, other a Linux. The one which will be far away will be running wink2 and will also be used heavily for gaming (nvidia 7800, 2 gigs ram, single opteron OC'd... whole deal).... problem is im not sure if the signal can reach the "gaming" room. the signal will have to pass thru (this is strait point to point) at a maximum of 5 walls (regualr drywall + wood studs) i could move the AP in the doorway of one and cut it down to 4 walls. the distance is no more than 60 ft and on the same floor.. here are the 2 products which i've picked out. i am open to ideas on better products/brands/repeters etc, thing is the adapter needs to be external (either USB or ethernet-->AP). i've gota limit of 150 bucks for all the wireless stuff + (that computer ain't commin cheap ;) )
