Does Microsoft claim to have a self tuning tcp/ip stack when clearly is does not, I have 10meg cable broadband here in the UK and I thought because I had the latest service pack and all the fixes I would be ok on the speed side of things, how wrong I was after downloading your optimiser and discovering my PC is only optimised for a 3meg connection, why can the OS not detect the speed and alter the sliding window accordingly

What I need to do know is find more information on why there is a problem, why does Microsoft not put a fix out, I want to learn as much as I can about this so any links or info are very much appreciated

PS, excellent site

Yeah ms has the white pages for tcpip. Yes it does have a self tunning stack whatever server you connect to will adjust the rwin for you sorta speak. In some cause though the defaults don't work for everyone it should though for most. http://www.microsoft.com/downloads/details.aspx?FamilyID=06c60bfe-4d37-4f50-8587-8b68d32fa6ee&displaylang=en it's the same stack as xp
