My BF2 right now is giving me hell since I recently reinstalled it. I have installed it and patched to 1.12, it runs fine the first time I run it, then it loads the BF2 splash screen then crashes and will not run untill I restart. I have tried everything I can think of such as reinstalling video drivers (new ones and the ones on the BF2 CD), directx drivers, clearing profiles, registry, and resetting the pagefile.

Anyone else experiance problems with this?

You could try downloading the newest Forceware drivers for your card ... I guess I'm not sure what you mean by the drivers that came with BF2 as I don't recall getting or seeing any video drivers in the box.

They are on the CD, you could install them from the auto run.

They were 77.30's, I will try the newst drivers again.

I have been playing bf2 since the day it came out but one day my pc in the living room began crashing after about 10 minutes of game play. I mean shutting completely off without warning. I tried everything reinstalling the game the patches. Making sure all drivers are current nothing worked. Finnally I began switching the memory configuration I have 1gb corsair value select pc3200 I tried several configurations 1-3, 2-4, 1-2, 3-4, and finally 2-3
2-3 worked after I loaded the memory in slots 2-3 I played for 2 hours no hickups or reboots. am I sure this is the answer no not for sure but it worked, and I'm wondering if it will work for you.

Memory is touchy with this game... as it uses alot to run smooth and is hard on all your resources. I've seen this game make memory go bad lol
