:::Unreal Tournament Game Hosting Problem:::
My Setup: Using client computer on a network.
I connect to the admin computer via 2 nics and a crossover cable. I use Winroute Lite networking software. Basically the DSL modem is connected to the admin on one nic and theres another nic that connects to mine via a crossover cable.

My Problem: I cannot host a game because when I host my game address is unreal://192.168.1.2:7777 . Someone told me this is not a "real" IP address but simply VPN. Therefore, no one else outside of my LAN can access my game. This presents a problem, and I am absolutely clueless as to how to get around it, any suggestions would be of a great help,
Thanks,
Drew

Not really sure. Do you use a firewall? Plus try networking forum. They might have a answer in one of the post. GoodLuck!

I think a firewall is Intergrated into the networking software, other than that I don't run any firewall to my knowledge

You need to have routing software for internet connection sharing which allows you to open the specific ports that unreal tournament uses. I have used Sygate a couple of times to allow gaming on computers connected to cable or dsl modems. It comes with a default configuration file which can be modified which supports most games. Take a look at www.sybergen.com. (http://www.sybergen.com.) When I did my network about a year ago this was the only solution which worked easily for me.
