In May I will be moving into an apartment here in Denver, CO and I will be getting adsl from Qwest. I read on their page that it is RADSL. I saw the defintion on dslreports of what is it, but it didnt give me much info. Anyone know the differences between RADSL and ADSL? Is one better than the other. The only use of the connection is going to be for playing games like quake online. Anyone else in Denver use Qwest and have anything to say about it? Thanks.

1) RADSL adjusts the speed to correct for distance, noise, etc. Don't worry, you will get 640/272 from Qwest.

2) Don't get the internal modem!!! Pay the extra money and get the Cisco 675 router from them, which will also include an Intel PRO/100+ card in the box.

The cisco 675?... Means your line is using CAP as the line code. (!!)

Find an ISP who uses DMT (the now standard).

You'd use the Cisco677 with DMT.

Yeah, I'll make sure to get an external modem. How would I find out if the isp uses dmt. I doubt if I call tech support they would be able to tell me. Right now I am on dial up with att and I have a good route back to the east coast which is where I'll play games. When I get adsl, could I use at&t as my isp? Or does it have to be an isp that works together with qwest to provide adsl? Is my routing dependent on the ISP or qwest? Thanks for the help.

I went to their page and they say they offer a external Cisco 67x series router so I assume they will give me the one that goes with whatever technology they are using.
