SURFboard USB problems.

I have just installed cable service with a motorola surfboard connected to my USB port. My problem is that when I boot the computer, the modem won't connect. If I unplug the USB cable and then plug it back in, everything works fine. I was just wondering if anyone else has had this problem. I think the problem is in win98 instead of the modem. Thanks in advance for any help.

call your cable company to see what the deal is... it wont hurt...

Never mind....I reloaded windows and now it's fine. Thanks anyway.

When I used to work for @Home we always had that problem. Just call them and get a real modem.
