Ameritech ADSL

Does anybody know about their service? I know Ameritech is owned by SBC now (a lot of people dont know that) and if its gotten worse because of that (possibly better). See my mom used to work at SBC before she retired. And we get discounts and everything like that and we can get a discount on their DSL. Does anybody know anything about their service? I've heard good things and bad things. Does anybody want to share their experiences? We'll probably keep RR but just to check out what were missing. Were way too far from the main office (a big mistake Ameritech made when they still operated the phone company). So does anybody know anything about Ameritech ADSL? Please share your experiences. I'd love to hear them.

Oh one day last year here in chicago Ameritech in there wisdome or lack of took down the web for three days to put in new routers this took everyone off line that was on Amertech.. this included the business on there connection... I had my Mindspring at the time I ran fine this is why I'm staying with Mindspring..

I live here in canton and my neighbors have it. They are down more then they are up. They have had a tec out now about 5 times and they still can not solve the problem. I know. From them and a few other people here who have. All they do is complain it's down more then up. But that's just a few a heard it from. It possible.somebody here might not have problems . I would just check with anyone you know who has it before getting it installed. Thats if you know anyone who has it. GoodLuck! ;)
