Roxio - Leave well enough alone

Well, I still haven't learned to leave well enough alone ! I upgraded my Roxio from 6.0 to 8.0 and now I'm making coasters like no tomorrow !

Everything was running fine, not a problem downloading off my digital camcorder to my puter and burning to DVD. Version 8 was so user UN-friendly I decided to go back to 6.0 and that's where all the trouble starts. Using 6.0 I can't see either of my optical drives using drag to disk, and all the DVD's I burn fail at the end.

It looks like re-format time unless someone has some suggestions.

Next time I'll leave well enough alone.......

it's time to go registry digging, my friend..delete all references to roxio in your registry..delete all roxio related program folders on your machine...and reinstall 6.0...i suppose you could just uninstall 6.0 and use system restore in winxp, if you're running that, to go back to when u had 6.0 installed, then reinstall 6.0

yep I had to do the same thing with one my machines... use regcleaner works good.

Thanks folks. Man, I didn't plan on this. Roxio's website is littered with folks having the same problem.

I re-installed 8.0 and the 8.05 update and we'll see if/how it works.

I am SO pissed.......
