Results of online scans
GRC scan result:
A PING REPLY (ICMP Echo) WAS RECEIVED

Sygate scan result:
ICMP port 8 open

I'm using ZA pro 6.00 etc... and i've set the security to high for internet zone and medium for trusted zone.
According to the help file the default configuration for High security blocks all inbound and outbound traffic through ports not being used by programs you have given access.
ICMP
incoming (ping echo) block
incoming (other) block
outgoing (ping echo) block
outgoing (other) block

Yet it failed the ICMP test on two sites. Can ayone here tell me how to close/stealth this port?

i don't have a router, i even installed sygate pro 5.5 and set the advanced rules to block incoming icmp request and still it didn't work.

i have a dsl connection and if i check my ip it shows 192.168... but when i visit the two sites it displayed my real ip.

thats because your DSL modem is responding to ping requests externally. Your ISP probably has this enabled for troubleshooting in the event of a service call.
It's okay that your external IP is displayed, this is how NAT works. Your machine should be protected so long as there's no (or little) port forwarding from the modem to it.
