The last time I had a tech in from Isp he put a meter on the cable and he said I had to mush cable signel so he put a 10 reducer on it - I just took it off and my cable is faster - what would you do put it back on or take it off

Slow or fast, tough problem, hmm no it will not hurt modem with it off :) :) :)

Hi Lobo: I find the pages download faster - what happens if you have to mush sig. strength - some of the page hang at the end of the download

Just letting you know, the actual signal strength to the modem doesn't regulate the speed of your connection. You either have good signal and stay connected, have weak signal and have intermittent problems, or have poor signal and your modem wont sync. The actual speed isn't affected by this.
