I think you are going to have to run the connection wized or go in to connections and change it to the usb, do you have xp try looking in network connections it is in acceseors on the menu.Just out of nosyness why did you stop using the nic?

I bought laptop and want to share connection through laptop to desktop computer. In laptop I have only one LAN card and I will need them to connect both computers, so internet can only be on USB

You can use the usb to one computer and the ethernet to another computer. I dont know if this is supported by motorola but I have seen it work on many of the SB5100's. of course another way would be to get a hub/switch/router.

good luck

On the Motorla SB 5100 Cable Modems. It says in the book that you can use ONLY ONE Conection. be it 10/100 OR USB. Not Both. If your wanting to use Both then you will have to install a network Hub. And then get you a 10/100
conection on one end for the hun and the other end to be USB. for notebook conection. Be sure to get the Newest Drivers for USB from the Motorla Sight.
This is how I run my Setup without any problems. Hope this helps you out.
