ok I am about to move in with my girlfriend and her roommate and I was wondering if this was possiable to do....

her father works for a large oil refinery as IT so if this wont work getting the networking supplys is not a problem

but anyways we both have cable modems mine is much older though i am using an oldschool SB3100 and I was wondering if it is possiable to just hook my modem up like normal in my room whyle hers is also hooked up like normal in her room thus eliminating the need to network because I love my old fossil of a modem I have never had any problems with any sort of EMI where as hers you flip the light switch on and off too fast it freaks out and dies not to mention set it within like a billion feet of any electrical curent other than it's own it shuts down and d/c's her basacily I don't want to put up with running networking wire through her hous unless I absoulty have to because I am not a fan of wireless and if I do have to run cable can anyone tell me the leingth that I can run befor it starts to drop the signal because it's a ways from her room to mine.....

Thank you :thumb:

Yes, you can have two modems in one house but you will pay a service for both modems in the house. If thats not a problem the go for it. I say run the cables and network it but thats just my http://members.speedguide.net/ace420/twocents.gif .
