Test running..........
** Speed 4375(down)/117(up) kbps **
(At least 87 times faster than a 56k modem)
Finish.

Is that pretty good for Comcast@home in PA or have any of you other people gotten better?

Yes thats a great downstream speed, and the upstream is of course capped so your not gonna get any better than that.

About modem speed!

Does anyone know what might be wrong here?

That sucks....run some pings to your gateway and post them here.

BS!. Not when I frequently download at an average 900KB/s to 1MB/s everyday.

Here are the pings to my gateway:

Packets: Sent = 36,
Received = 36,
Lost = 0 (0% loss),

Approximate round trip times in milli-seconds:
Minimum = 7ms,
Maximum = 11ms,
Average = 8ms

When I run tracert, is my gateway supposed to show up as one of the hops? Thanks.

Listen to John on this one, he's exactly right. DSLReports speedtests are BS. They are even worse than MSN's speedtest these days because EVERYONE is using them, causing silly results.
