Now that some of us have had the opportunity to test drive Opera for a bit....
Pro- I definitely love the speed, substantially faster than IE or Firefox.
Pro- Hasn't crashed on me once, been using it on two computers. Firefox in its pre 1.0 versions used to crash on me often, got stable until 1.07 came out..then started crashing again.
Con-Home Page button...where is it? Is there one?
Con-When you open Opera (or at least when I open Opera on either computer)...it seems to open up on whatever page you had viewed last time before you closed it. In other words....isn't opening on what I have set for home page.
Possible con for some people-Seems to consume copious amounts of memory, on both PCs....I see it use over 100 megs, right now, with only this window open, it's using 137 megs. Amount of memory used isn't an issue for me on any of my computers, which all have abundant memory, but for those with...leaner systems...it might. If caching content into memory is what makes it faster...fine by me.
