I don't think the type of modem has anything todo with the tweak you should use. It is diffrent for each person due to lancey and other factors. The best thing to try is trial and error. :p

Yes, the modem type is irrelevant. Cable is the luck of the draw. It can be really fast, really slow, or somewhere in between. Example... My father has cable and lives about 100 miles from me. When I run a dslreports speed test, I get around 70 times faster than a 56k modem. When he runs it, he gets around 10. We both have @home only mine is through AT&T and his is through Comcast.
It's not unusual for cable to vary within the same provider/area. The tweaks are designed to configure your computer for max performance, which is dependent on your provider/area. cyberdude, what are your caps? Contact your provider if you don't know. Also, it that 33 kiloBYTES or kiloBITS? There is a big difference.

need help !!Use the "default" patch to uninstall it and try manual tweaking or try the tweaks from speedcorp.net or cablenut.com. A 512kbps connection should yield around 50-60KBps (kiloBYTES per sec).
