Can anyone please help me on how to disable the anonying message "cable network unplugged" that pops up on the taskbar once every so often. Help would be appreciated !

I'm not too sure if this works, but unchecking the option named "Show Icon on Taskbar When Connected" in the network connection configuration, otherwise typically called Local Area Network, might turn that feature off.

Are you using that machine as a host and running ICS? If so you could be getting that message if your Internet connection drops.

Only thing I know of besides what MosDef112 posted.

The only time you should receive this message is when you unplug the network cable is unplugged from either end.

Check your cables close while your connected twist them litely see if you loose the connection while doing that..
the next thing to try is to set you DNS IP's in the TCP/IP...

yeah, there is some kind of problem

it shoudl only show that if you are disconnected from the network, maybe a faulty cable or something?

are you using ICS?
