Is it really all that, and a bag of chips. What I mean is, Should I downgrade from WinME to Win98SE?

Curious,

RicRogue

OMG...
Ok, Breath Ric...
I think I just crapped in my pants, just thinking of what could happen to my computer.

Thanks Dannjr.

John, You said I should upgrade to Win2K. Should I really invest the $$$, or wait for the new OS to come out in the fourth quarter?

Thats it, OMG..¿ ok no I really understand its not everyday someone comes out with something that manipulates the kernal..

Should you upgrade to win2k.. I say yes but.
You need to find out if all your hardware is win2k compatible right down to the printer.
Went through the printer part had to give my Z51 to my kids..
Now are you a big gamer..Not every game is supported by win2k yet.. There are a couple of simulators that arn't that great in win2k and a few people have told me games can be choppy.
Now you have to read all your software I made the mistake of running Adaptec burner software ver.2 and that was enough to keep win2k from starting up it caused a protection mode error..
Will the new ones be better I look at win2k and for me its fantastic. But then I look at WinME and can't beleave Microsoft had the nerve to release it.
Kinda like you said about the ramdrive in winme OMG... ya I held my breath..
Lets see what John say´s

Eh that is just ms talk there brent.. by the time Whistler is released. Windows 2000 already has more matured drivers... Basically with Whistler you are gaining its extra features like its pretty ui, newer services, and copy right protection crap :(

Thanks for the replies guys,

I think I'll wait for the Whistler to come final, and at that time look at the reviews.
