problem starting BF2

Last night I gained 250 points and I'm almost to unlock weapon level ....


today when I come home I try to start the game and it just stalls and sits there after the BF2 splash screen.


I notice the ~e5.0001 process starts with this , and I understand this is a copy protection file ?


Any idea's how to fix this ?

Are you using any kind of no-cd hack or anything similar?

Nope original CD Disk 1 ( Even though it asks for Disc 2 ) ....



I went in after about 30 minutes of tinkering with it , and just opened my BF2 folder , and then on the next launch it too off perfectly.
