Unstable Wireless please help!!

hey gus

i just got my wireless setup a couple of days ago , and its giving me headakes already. i cant play any online games cause it keeps disconnectin and losing my connection every 2 mins. and the net is slower. its not just the host computer its all of them.

SETUP
1 pc connected wirelessly
1 wireless notebook connected
netgear router
cable internet

im on a G network

PLEASE HELP>

Is firmware on the router/access point up to date?
Any other wireless networks within range? If so, change the default channel.
