I have a very simple home WLAN, using a Linksys Wireless-G Broadband router and 2 Windows machines. I have set the various security settings up on it, like disabling SSID broadcast and using encryption.

I am wondering, how do I detect if any other devices/users are connected to the network? Currently the only people that should be connected to it are me and my wife. But as a point of interest I am curious as to how I find out the info of any connected users at any given time.

Is there some command like ipconfig or netstat that will tell me how many users are connected and the ip address and/or MAC address of those other connected machines?

Any info regarding this area of wireless networking greatly appreciated.

You can look at your routers DHCP table, it should show connected clients it's handed out a lease to. Of course, if you're on a default LAN IP address scheme, someone could attempt to come in with a fixed LAN IP of their own and therefore they won't show up. So to get past that, if you suspect someone else is connected...run an IP scanner like AngryIP.
