Here's the situation I have adelphia powerlink. I love my speeds and everything has been going great but now I have a small problem. It is more irritating than anything. Before when i would call up a web page or click on a link it would go automatically with now delay now as of today when i click it takes about 2-5 sec. before it will go.. there is no proxy settings or anything like that so if anyone could please give me some assistance i would appreciate very much..
If u have only experienced this prob today, then ur ISP is prolly prolly bogged down. Has it been like this all day long or is it hit and miss?

It has just been today. I know i should be more patient but it is very irritating. My download though are still hitting from 350KB-290KB so it just seems odd that that would still be good..

one more thing whenever i get into a site any link that i click in that particular site pops up automatically. just thought i would throw that in.
What happens when u ping ur gateway (i.e. do u get any packet loss)?

same way. Just go under start menu then the run menu. type ping www.typeaddresshere.com. (http://www.typeaddresshere.com.) To keep the ping going do it like this: ping www.speedguide.net (http://www.speedguide.net) -t
The -t keeps the ping going

thanks jesse i ran it for about 3 minutes and it never went about 14 and no packet loss, i also used neotrace and pinged alot of different places and the first 5-6 hops never exceeded 20 so i don't get it. I don't remember messing with any settings on my computer
Not sure what to tell u. Just keep an eye on ur connection for the next couple of days and if ur probs persist, contact ur ISP.
