@Home users using proxy servers! READ!!

If you are an @Home user running sygate or any other proxy server, you may lose newsgroup access.
@Home is under a UDP (Usenet Death Penalty) threat. @Home management has blamed users running improperly set up proxy servers creating holes through which spam is flooding the newsgroups. They will begin to aggressively scan for open proxy connections, and will suspend news service to any @home users with improperly configured proxy servers.

What holes do you think they are referring to? I know with Sygate it's very easy to let the program configure itself. I don't know much about wingate. Anyone care to speculate what these "holes" are?

Let 'em go ahead and scan me. Every port scanner I've tried has been unable to get through my firewall. I use Sygate anyway, and don't get on newsgroups.

I'm a @home user and i can't seem to get sygate or any other proxy server to work properly ....pleasee get me some advice...
