Registry Tweak to make u download more files at once

I have a cable modem but I can only download 2 files at one time and it's really pissing me off. Sometimes both downloads only add up to 40kb/sec and I know my modem can handle more.

Does anyone know how i can edit the registry so I can download more than 2 files at once? I know i can do this because i tried it before, but now i forgot how to do it.

Can Anyone Help??

get the patch named-SpeedGuide Web Patch. Just open the zip and dbl click on the file.

I think the question was for files and not web pages.
Do you mean you want to download more than one program at a time? For example, you want to download Download Accelerator and ICQ at the same time?

strange how you can't do it. It is normal for Windows to allow you do download multiple files at once. What happens when you try? Do you mean both downloads are coming at 40K/sec? Is this ALL the time? Guess what? You are on cable and it is not going to be the same everytime. Have you tried downloading after 10 pm?...from different servers? Try downloading a large file from download.com, ZDNet Hotfiles.com, or Microsoft to test. Get AnalogX's NetStat live to monitor your throughput. www.analogx.com (http://www.analogx.com)

Are you using IE 5.5? Because IE 5.5 has a download limit ot 2 files. This can be changed, but I'm not sure how? What operating system are you running? Thanks

i use IE 5.5 and for a while i could only download 2 at a time, after i installed the two patches registry patch and the webpage patch i could suddenly download as many as i want, i dont know if the patches had an effect or what, maybe it was just a coincidence.

i have windows millennium and iam using ie5.5, could this be the problem?

when i try to download the 3rd file nothing happens but when one download is finished then the download pops up automatically.

Exactly. The third file is queued intill downloads 1 or 2 are complete. How can this download limit be changed?
