ok, here is my problem. when i use napster, or scour exchange, people can connect to me, but the transfer never starts.. it just goes from waiting... to timed out like 2 minutes later. i have the correct ports on, and i dont think my isp (adelphia powerlink) has them blocked because they were working once before. i have heard some people say that there are bugs in napster b7, so maybe this is it because it seems to have been happeneing since i d/l'ed b7. so if you know whats the problem, or if u have a similar one, please post me a reply! and if u know where i can get an older version of napster, please let me know that also.

Do you have a firewall like Zone Alarm or a hardware router like the Linksys?

i have both, i have a lynksys hub thingy or whatever its called, but im using the host pc thats on my network.. and it still doesnt work. i also have zone alarm, but i even shut it down when trying to use napster. doesnt anyone know where i can download napv2b6 from (beta 6)

the lynksys is a 10/100 dual speed 5 port workgroup switch.. it came with the lynsys network in a box.

My son was haveing the same problem. I just had him remove it and download it again. Then mark in zonealarm pass block. Now it works fine for him. Hope this helps!
