Heat issues.
Wierd, heat has been a problem as of late for me on my 3.2 PIV
So I thought if i disabled hyperthreading and only ran one FAH instead of two it may be a bit cooler.....Wrong, it hotter then it was.
Oh well, guess i have to keep it shut down when i'm not using the comp till for the summer:(
try underclocking and lowering the v-core alittle bit, maybe ya don't need to go down much to make it stable.
when you say hot, what are you reading CPU temps of ?

I also read about using very fine sand paper on the bottom of the heat sink to obtain better contact and heat disipation.
Tks

56 - 58,
the heat comming from the exhaust fans is horrendous though, can't stand sitting at my desk or even in this room there is so much heat.

Was lapped when i assembled, it not at burn up temp, but too much heat for my likeing with the temps we have been having here.
And we don't run the AC 24/7 due to the expese of it.
Still have 4 other comps folding 24/7 though, they don't generate as much heat as this 3.2e PIV.
