Greetings

I have a D-Link DSL 500T router, that is connected to a couple of D-link DES-1008D 8 port switches. We use this setting to share ADSL connection between 11 people, each using a LAN card and cable to the switch, in one building.

The problem I'm always facing is when any of these connected computers gets infected with a trojan, which dramatically slows down, not just the infected computer, but all other connected computers as well.

Does anyone please know how can I protect the network from such trojans?
All computers have anti viruses installed, ut they do little to protect against trojan infections. I've recently got 'Deep Freeze Enterprize' which is supposed to protect all computers connected in a LAN network. But I dont know how to set it up for such task.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.
Many thanks.

Sallam you should check out the General Security forum and there are several Freeware softwares that you can use to help protect your computers from such things. There are also messages regarding how to implement and set up the programs. Usually 1 or 2 will not be enough, you will have to use several to keep up with the amount of junk thats out there. What Antivirus program?

Are the 11 machines open to anyone or just 11 individual people?

each computer is in a different flat, run by a different neighbor.
