TCP options string = 0204055001010402
MTU = 1400
MTU is not fully optimized for broadband. Consider increasing your MTU to 1500 for better throughput.
MSS = 1360
MSS is not fully optimized for broadband (although it might work well for slower connections). Consider increasing your MTU value.
Default Receive Window (RWIN) = 65280
RWIN Scaling (RFC1323) = 0 bits
Unscaled Receive Window = 65280

RWIN is a multiple of MSS
Other values for RWIN that might work well with your current MTU/MSS:
522240 (MSS x 48 * scale factor of 8)
261120 (MSS x 48 * scale factor of 4)
130560 (MSS x 48 * scale factor of 2)
bandwidth * delay product (Note this is not a speed test):

Your RcvWindow limits you to: 2611.2 kbps (326.4 KBytes/s) @ 200ms
Your RcvWindow limits you to: 1044.48 kbps (130.56 KBytes/s) @ 500ms
MTU Discovery (RFC1191) = ON
Time to live left = 117 hops

TTL value is ok.
Timestamps (RFC1323) = OFF
Selective Acknowledgements (RFC2018) = ON
IP type of service field (RFC1349) = 00000000 (0)

There is the TCP analyzer from Mccoffee's sig. Im using a Linksys Router befsr41 v4. I forget which firmware it has. just got it yesterday. I spent about 2 hrs today on the phone with SBC / Linksys to get everything up and running on the computers. had to enable the DHCP and MTU and other fun things. we set it to 1400.

i can surf the internet ok. nothing fast but ok. but when it comes to DL'ing it bottoms out to 0.9kb/s 1.6kb/s. i tried to DL the TCPOptimizer got to 53% before it locks up and stops DL'ing. Im using Mozilla so i try to puase / resume to get a new signal but still nothing.

any suggestions as to increase the DL'd rate / fix this? there is only 2 comps on the router at the house.

you need the mtu to 1492 unless you are on aol hell or using any virtual private networking login to the linksys 192.168.1.1 login into the router on the status tab your mtu should be there set it to 1492

what modem do you have from sbc ??

speedstream.

ive ran Ad-aware 6.0 pro, Norton anti-virse. disabled norton after that to get rid of the firewall activity. i used the squid reg edits for PPPoE opt. been trying to DL TCPOptimizer but i hits 53% before dying. tried again hit 43% before it dies .
