TCP options string = 0204055001010402
MTU = 1400
MTU is not fully optimized for broadband. Consider increasing your MTU to 1500 for better throughput.
MSS = 1360
MSS is not fully optimized for broadband (although it might work well for slower connections). Consider increasing your MTU value.
Default Receive Window (RWIN) = 65280
RWIN Scaling (RFC1323) = 0 bits
Unscaled Receive Window = 65280
RWIN is a multiple of MSS
Other values for RWIN that might work well with your current MTU/MSS:
522240 (MSS x 48 * scale factor of 8)
261120 (MSS x 48 * scale factor of 4)
130560 (MSS x 48 * scale factor of 2)
bandwidth * delay product (Note this is not a speed test):
Your RcvWindow limits you to: 2611.2 kbps (326.4 KBytes/s) @ 200ms
Your RcvWindow limits you to: 1044.48 kbps (130.56 KBytes/s) @ 500ms
MTU Discovery (RFC1191) = ON
Time to live left = 117 hops
TTL value is ok.
Timestamps (RFC1323) = OFF
Selective Acknowledgements (RFC2018) = ON
IP type of service field (RFC1349) = 00000000 (0)
There is the TCP analyzer from Mccoffee's sig. Im using a Linksys Router befsr41 v4. I forget which firmware it has. just got it yesterday. I spent about 2 hrs today on the phone with SBC / Linksys to get everything up and running on the computers. had to enable the DHCP and MTU and other fun things. we set it to 1400.
i can surf the internet ok. nothing fast but ok. but when it comes to DL'ing it bottoms out to 0.9kb/s 1.6kb/s. i tried to DL the TCPOptimizer got to 53% before it locks up and stops DL'ing. Im using Mozilla so i try to puase / resume to get a new signal but still nothing.
any suggestions as to increase the DL'd rate / fix this? there is only 2 comps on the router at the house.
