AOL DSL Speeds

I was wondering, what kind of speeds can I expect with an AOL DSL connection? I should be getting a modem tomorrow, and I have been getting mixed reviews. Anyone famililar with the ISP GAYOHELL? :P Seriously, I know it is AOL, but it can't be all bad if it is DSL, right?

no it can steal be bad you are paying another 20 bucks a month just for software aol leases the lines from your local telco sbc,verizon that speed is determine by the distance from the central office and the speed that aol allows that telco to provide to you at the price you are paying vice versa....

Also you can not tweak aol since it uses proxies they use tunneling like protocols that's part of the reason you can't.
