l have a speedstream 5100b which is working fine and l wanted to connect it with a wired netgear router so that my other desktop computer can connect to the internet too.

But each time l tried it,it only work on my host computer and not on my other client computer,the local area connection was sending signal but not receiving it.

l don't know what l have to do to reslove this issue

did you try putting the modem in bridge mode setup the router in pppoe mode also make sure you do static ip's on the computer and have them match to the router ??
