That's your internal LAN scheme from the Cisco router, which performs NAT. Cisco's NAT to internal 10.0.0.XXX IPs by default, they choose that IP scope for some odd reason instead of the more standard 192.168.XXX.XXX scheme.

So that's your LAN IP, not your WAN IP.

Look in your Cisco Manual, not excatly sure how this works with a 678 but I am sure it is similar to other router set-ups, then goto the port forwarding/local server section. Tell the router to forward all UDP/TCP traffic for whichever port, FTP in your case, to the 10.0.0.2 address.

This will allow access to the internal FTP server from the Internet. And allow you to transfer files back and forth, as you wish.
Like I said, many varations of the exact set-up very depending on the type of router. Generally speaking, this is what you have to do. Just have to figure out the CISCO way.

Hope it works. :)

If you are using dyndns or one of those services that tracks your public dynamic IP address then there is no need to know it. Typically, they give you a host name....I use TZO so its tzo.myhostname.com and that is the host name that you use when you ftp from the outside. Internally, you have to open the ftp port on the computer to which you want to FTP. Consult your router manual for that. Each one differs (if you had linksys or netopia or flowpoint, I could help on that) You must know the private (LAN( ip address of the computer to which you wish to FTP.
Hope this helps.

Go here, this is a very useful place to learn how to set up the internal workings of your Cisco 67x modem.
