Ok I have the current setup:

ISP: Comcast High Speed Internet
Modem: Motorola SB100
Router: Linksys Wireless B Router (Model: BEFW11S4)

I can connect my laptop and desktop wired, but I can't get my laptop to connect via wireless. I have tried to use all 'Obtain Automatically' settings. It worked the first time I tried it for a few minutes, then dumped. Haven't been able to get it to connect since.

Are there any write ups on this? Or can you guys possibly help me out?

Thanks.

I've had to "Clone MAC address" of one of the computers to the router...dunno if it's comcast or what, but it was refusing to allow the router to connect...while it would allow computers to connect.

Maybe it sees there's a router involved via the MAC address and locks it out...wanting a few more bucks a month for Comcast "networking" service.

I used to have your router, and am pretty sure it has that "Clone MAC address" feature. Can't remember where it is on the web page menu, though.

Also, you have to be very specific in re-starting the hardware.

1. Turn off the Surfboard modem (2 minutes they say...)
2. Power down the router and your computers...at the same time.
3. Then, Re-start the Surfboard cable modem and wait until it has a solid connection
4. Power on the router and wait until it has plenty of time to get DNS and other stuff...
5. Boot up the computers and let them get their addresses via DHCP or register their static addresses with the router.

Hope that help...
