Not really bud. :(

Unfortunetally Wireless broadband either from a home router or in your' case the actual connection being completely wireless is going to lag like that. Now you may or may not be able to do some atenna tweaking for better signal but in general wireless internet and multiplayer games dont go together.

Is this a rural area you get connection to? What kind of broadband package do you have as far as download/upload speeds?

yeah its a rural area connection >> www.telabria.co.uk.. got 512k both ways. previously had satellite broadband which was connected wirelessly in my house but the broadband was only on downloads so my upload speed was 36k (that wot my modem is) and i had pings of 100-200!! but i sent an email to the isp provider for my new wireless broadband and they told me We can confirm that you would be able to use Multi-Player gaming over our service. Our connection to the Internet varies depending on location... :S

being able to play and being able to play with a playable ping are two different things.

Sounds like a 2.4ghz or 5.4ghz signal which ive never known to be able to play MP games with a good ping. 800ms is a tad high but either way.. ive never seen one below 400ms.

Maybe someone else has some tweaking tips for better ping. (Try settings the ethernet adapter settings to 10/100 Full Duplex?
