Adding Notebook to Wireless Router

Dear Sages,
I have desktop currently connected wireless to Netgear wireless router. I have order Notebook that will have installed wireless card. Will the Notebook help with connecting to wireless router or do I need to initially connect Notebook to router with cord?

should be wireless out of the gate. Depending on your wifi settings (secure or open) you may need to enter the key on the laptop as you did on the dekstop if you use encryption or key.

If you have XP on the lappy it should automatically (granted the wifi card is setup correctly) detect the connection and connect or ask you to.

I forsee no problems. You should be wireless out of the box. :thumb:
