I have a problem running winipcfg in win2k before I installed my ethernet driver disk I looked at winipcfg and everything was ok it loaded fine but now I get an error message which reads "The ordinal 1001 could not be located in the dynamic link library WSOCK32.dll" does anyone know what I can do
Winipcfg isn't a part of Win2k. Use ipconfig at a command prompt.

I have just ran ipconfig and a ms-dos window poped up and disappears not very useful to get you ip address information

so if winipcfg is not part of Win2k when whats the point of win2k having it installed on the disk also why did it work when I ran it before I installed the network adapter driver
Beats me how you ever ran winipcfg- as GLC1 said, it is not part of Win2k.
But, when trying to run ipconfig, you can't just go to the "run" window and type it in- that's why it disappeared.
To get to a ms-dos type prompt, type "cmd" in the run box, or create a shortcut using %systemroot%\system32\cmd.exe as the executable.
