I would get your hands on Frontpage PM me . It is very very easy to operate, and can be used even when you advance your skills. I use frontpage all the time with my businees, then I go though it with notepad and clean up the code.

PHP Nuke requires you to know PHP and MySQL if you want the customized look.

It's free, so you don't have to use illegal copies of M$ products. (cough) - As much as I think M$ is unethical, stealing their software is just as bad.

Who says that I don't have a legit copy of my old Frontpage 2002 that I am not using, which I do. I currently have 2003 so I don't need my 2002 issue.

Chris.. I use Macromedia stuff and it is NICE. You could get a legit copy used on Half.com. They are up to Studio MX 2004, so you could score MX for cheap, I bet.

I have used it quite a bit, so if you have any questions, lemme know!

Thanks Brandon!

What I'll probably do is start off with FP and just start with a basic design. Once I start learning more and more I'll use the other programs. I dont know anything about html, coding, ect. I just want something nice and easy. :)

If you are interested in making your own site, have a look at the following thread. Some members have shown me the path to salvation using HTML! It's not hard and results are rewarding. http://forums.speedguide.net/showthread.php?t=177408

If your going with plain HTML, learn CSS aswell, very handy indeed...

Ok, I have another question. I made a basic front page just to get something up. I used Lithnet Programming Editor to make it.

How can I direct it to be my main page? http://www.illini25.net

Right now it's here: http://www.illini25.net/index.html

Confused on how to have my index page my main home page. :(

Hmm... you should just namethe page either index.html or index.htm and it should automatically do it.

HOWEVER, if you previously had anHTML in there fromt he provider (maybe called "default.html", that will override it.)

Lemme know! I'm on MSN.

That means you are hosted on an IIS webserver. index.htm(l) would indicate apache. You can change those settings, but that is by default.

Another little 'album' software I like to use is called Jalbum. Easy and simple to learn and use. It's free too!
