TCP Port 7 Repeated Inquiries

I have a network in my house with 2 computers, 1 of which is wireless. The wired computer is making repeated (once a second) port 7 scans on the wireless computers. The firewall on the wireless computer blocks these, but it slows the wireless computer down so much that it sometimes becomes unusable. Now the wired computer belongs to my son who is 16 with lots of games and music programs on it. He has done an anti-virus scan and an ad scan and comes up with nothing. Something is sure going on though. Has anyone seen anything like this or have any helpful tips?
